Venice is a truly beautiful city with an incredibly history. It's sad to hear about all the struggles it's facing, but we're pleased to have had the opportunity to visit. Hopefully it won't be our last time there!

It's a complete ground-up rebuild, migrating from a custom #react framework I built over to #nextjs and #tailwind.
Looking forward to adding some cool new features over time, but for now I'd better get back to writing some blog posts!
Looks like the first iteration of dynamic parameters being passed through to the new `generateMetadata` function in Next.js has landed in v13.1.7-canary.2. One blocker removed to launching our new site!
It's been just under two weeks since we arrived at our Airbnb in #Rome - time is flying fast! But not everything has been plain sailing this week.
However, we've been out doing some sightseeing, checking off items on our huge list of places to visit, and sampling local food and drink.

We're traveling in Europe this winter and wanted a good way to keep an eye on our RV and property back in #vermont for #security. So I put together a remote monitoring system in a weatherproof enclosure using a cellular modem, #RaspberryPi running #HomeAssistant and a couple of #Wyze outdoor cameras. We've been taking a bit of a break from content creation over the holidays, but yesterday we published the latest video about our house build.
Filmed in July last year, it shows some of the challenges we're having to deal with on this site - namely some absolutely huge rocks! Even just watching the excavator operator was making me anxious!

Been making excellent progress this week migrating my website over to #NextJS using their new app structure. It's bleeding edge so still some bugs, but generally good. Really looking forward to getting this finished and live so I can start building new features. Lots of exciting new things planned over the next few months!
