Gerade finde ich ein mir unbekanntes Petitionsportal

Das Anliegen der Petition

ist ehrenwert, aber wer ist Initiator?

2016 hat das in den USA ansässige Portal
Change.org
einen #BigBrotherAwards erhalten. Ein Petitionsportal kann eine Datensammelmaschine sein, weshalb diese für mich eine glaubwürdige Ansässigkeit in Europa, besser in Deutschland, nachweisen können sollten.

#USCongress "No Wars On Our Streets"

"Donald Trump is unleashing masked federal agents and military troops into our neighborhoods — dragging people off the streets, terrorizing families, and treating American communities like occupied zones.

"Congress has the power to stop this abuse of power. As veterans, military family members, and civilian supporters, we are demanding they act now!"

Masked federal agents abducted Palestinian Columbia student leader Mohsen Mahdawi, a US permanent resident, on April 14th in Vermont during what was to be his citizenship interview. Mohsen was handcuffed and taken into an unmarked van from the USCIS office in Colchester, Vermont.

It is appalling that Mohsen was arrested for exercising his First Amendment rights under the guise of getting his citizenship.

Tell Congress: Free Mohsen Mahdawi

Masked, hooded federal agents abducted Palestinian Columbia student leader Mohsen Mahdawi, a U.S. permanent resident, on Monday, April 14th in Vermont during what was to be his citizenship interview. Mohsen was handcuffed and taken into an unmarked van from the USCIS office in Colchester, Vermont. It's absolutely appalling and horrifying that Mohsen was tricked into coming to a government office under the guise of getting his citizenship, but was then apprehended and arrested by the Trump administration for merely exercising his First Amendment rights by speaking in support of Palestinian rights. Rep. Becca Balint is leading an important bicameral Congressional letter supporting Mohsen. We urge Members of Congress to sign Rep. Balint's letter calling for Mohsen Mahdawi's immediate release. Send a message to Congress NOW!

From Theory to Action: Scaling Data Cooperatives - Project Liberty

Between October and December 2024, Project Liberty Institute (PLI) and the Decentralization Research Center (DRC) interviewed 16 experts in data governance, the digital economy, and digital rights, uncovering a striking consensus: while data cooperatives hold immense promise, they remain rare and often limited in scale. Cooperatives currently empower 12% of the global population and drive […]

Take Action: Senate to Vote on Blocking $8.8 Billion in Weapons to Israel

This week, Sen. Bernie Sanders is forcing a vote in the Senate to block $8.8 billion in weapons to Israel, including more than 35,000 one-ton bombs. With Israel having unleashed massive violence on Palestinians in Gaza on March 17, breaking the ceasefire and killing nearly 800 people since then, it's more important than ever that Congress act to stop these weapons from going to Israel and making us complicit in its genocidal violence against Palestinians. Write your Senators and ask them to vote for these resolutions to block weapons to Israel!

Demand the Immediate Release of Palestinian Student Activist Mahmoud Khalil from DHS detention

On the evening of March 8, 2025, Columbia University student activist Mahmoud Khalil was detained by the Department of Homeland Security. The arrest comes on the heels of the Department of State’s announcement that it plans to deport students affiliated with pro-Palestine protests. The student, who is Palestinian, is a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. Columbia University, which recently published a new protocol on its plans to cooperate with ICE, has targeted Khalil for his Palestinian identity and outspoken activism on multiple occasions over the last 17 months. He served as a lead negotiator during the Gaza Solidarity Encampment last spring and has frequently appeared in media interviews and press conferences. Columbia’s continued acquiescence to federal agencies and outside partisan institutions has made this situation possible. Like many other Arab and Muslim students, Khalil has been the target of various zionist harassment campaigns, fueled by doxxing websites like Canary Mission. This racist targeting serves to instill fear in pro-Palestine activists as well as a warning to others. Add your name to demand the immediate release of Palestinian student activist Mahmoud Khalil from DHS detention and a reversal to Columbia University's protocol permitting ICE on campus without a warrant.
