The mild #Autumn has ended here in the #Chiltern hills of SE England, with a sharp drop in temperature today.

I think this is my latest ever #harvest
#Achocha

#gardening #Achocha

Yesterday I finished planting out my veggies in the raised bed and sweet peas in a big pot.

I can only do a little at a time #limitedmobilitychallenges but I have a real sense of achievement :)

Day 12 of #30dayswild

With the help of a friend, I bought several bags of #peatfree compost to fill the raised bed at my new home.

I'll plant the #achocha , herbs, sweet peas & other annual flowers for #pollinators (and my pleasure).

Day 5 of #30DaysWild

The Giant Bolivian #Achocha seedlings are getting their true leaves.

When (if) they flower, there will be a good food source for #pollinators , especially #hoverfly species.

We have germination!

Classic #cucurbit cartoon-style seed leaves.

I'm attempting to grow a vegetable again, now I have outdoor space.

Is anyone else here in the #UK #allotment #gardening #vegetable #growyourown groups raising Bolivian Giant #Achocha ?

#gardening

For the first time in two decades, I have a rented home with a small sunny patio and a bonus raised bed.

I've just been planting some seeds in pots, to bring on before planting out.

While physically tired - I'm #disabled - I feel hugely better mentally. As if I've laid down a huge burden of stress (probably have).

I've planted Latah #tomato and (yes really) Giant Bolivian #Achocha because I adore eating them (Cyclanthera pedata).

In the spirit of "Bread and Roses", I've also planted highly scented Sweet Peas.

#seedsaving last night with these #achocha veg/fruits.
