Back in March I had a burst of energy and did make a couple of abstract pieces (basically to reacquaint myself with my software given how little I had been using them). The light version of the subsequent "Glass Waves" pieces is included in the most recent Ubuntu Studio LTS release, so hopefully some people out there are enjoying it. Mark Rothko, born Markus Yakovlevich Rothkowitz September 25, 1903 – February 25, 1970), was a Latvian-born American abstract painter. He is best known for his colour field paintings that depicted irregular and painterly rectangular regions of colour, which he produced from 1949 to 1970.

There is a huge exhibition of his work in Paris at the moment. I’m going to see it on the 6th November. Can't wait.
