Copyright and patents are why we can't have nice things. I heard that a bunch of Xeno music on YouTube got taken down by an "AI"-based company that helps companies take down stuff they deem infringes their copyright, and it's assumed Nintendo hired them to do it. One of these channels that's gone is sadly Nia Xenoblade Is Trans.

The logical conclusion to arrive at from the notion that the military can retroactively classify patents is that you should never patent anything and you should always release everything as publicly as possible.

With that in mind, to #AbolishPatents is simply to do away with redundant and unnecessary mechanisms.

If it can be arrived at by random permutation with some moderate constraints on the algorithm, it shouldn't be patentable.

The very notion of publicly-funded anything being patentable is absurd.

(Well, patents in general due to reinvention from first principles and parallel invention being demonstrated & actualized possibilities, #AbolishPatents, but anyway.

I see no reason we should *intentionally* create autocrats of trade or monopolies.)
