Erich ZAAPS last night voted to approve the next year's budget without amendments. This means
- reduction of 141 full time positions, including 94 teachers.
- cutting world language at Elementary
- reduction in elementary art, music, PE class time
- elimination of band co-teachers
- closing middle school pools

She's been talking to other electeds about how the city can help the school board.

Lena KauffmanAnn Arbor School Board has a Special Meeting tonight at 7 pm. They will be voting to approve the contract of interim superintendent Jazz Parks and picking which of three search firm to use to find a permanent superintendent. The firms that submitted proposals are:
1. Michigan Association of School Boards
2. Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates
3. McPherson & Jacobson, LLC
