AAPS last night voted to approve the next year's budget without amendments. This means
- reduction of 141 full time positions, including 94 teachers.
- cutting world language at Elementary
- reduction in elementary art, music, PE class time
- elimination of band co-teachers
- closing middle school pools
CM Song says there's an #A2SchoolBoard public meeting at the same time as this meeting, about the school district's $25m budget shortfall.
She's been talking to other electeds about how the city can help the school board.
Also supports continuing funding for the Rising Hope for Housing program. (I think; I couldn't keep up).
