Ein #xmpp Referenz-Client, der insbesondere unter IOS und Android gleich aussieht, gleich zu bedienen ist und auch auf beiden Plattformen funktioniert (und #floss ist), wäre echt was gutes.

Leider sind #chatsecure bzw. #zom damit schon ordentlich in der Vergangenheit gescheitert, weil die Apps nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wurden, bzw. die Android App für #chatsecure wurde zugunsten von #zom aufgegeben.

Ich will jetzt keinen Messanger-War (habe auf meinem Handy beides drauf, Riot.im und Conversations) beginnen  , aber ChatSecure ist für nicht-Nerds ungeeignet. #zom hat eine einfachere UI, aber keiner von beinden funktioniert aif iOS richtig gut.

Für mich bleibt #jabber eher was für den Rechner, für Mobilgeräte ist es schlecht, wenn es nur auf einer Plattform (android) vernünftig supported ist.

An friend of mine is quite satisfied with #Zom. She also has an account at zom.im and that seems to work.

Meine Erfahrungen mit #zom: der eigene xmpp Server von denen (home.zom.im) ist wenig zuverlässig. Mit einem anderen Server klappt das deutlich besser, z.B. Account auf jabber.de machen, der ist sehr zuverlässig.

Auf Android ist #conversations mein absoluter Favorit, der kann mehr und funktioniert besser.

Für IOS gibt es *leider* meines Wissens nach außer #zom und #chatsecure keine anderen xmpp Clients. Gerne weiter fragen, wenn ich helfen kann.
