Ist ja nicht so, dass die Zauberzucker-Branche fast 1 Mrd. Euro Umsatz pro Jahr macht...

Oh! I'm a little shocked that there isn't yet anything behind the #Zinsser hashtag I threw in there.

I'll remedy that with a link to the book I was referencing - "On Writing Well" by William Zinsser.

A friend introduced it to me many years ago, and it was all he suggested it would be. A book that does well what it is coaching you to do.

There are many skills and insights we've collectively gained from #socialMedia (and some bad habits too).

One of skills it's developed in me – particularly in the 140char days of the birdsite – is editing for brevity. I think it makes my writing better, in a way the famous #Zinsser would have advocated.

Painful were the typos and autospell mangles that got away from you. It's awesome here now, getting to fix them. The pain of a pseudo-viral tweet with an error was excruciating.
