BMW has initiated a global recall campaign affecting numerous model series. The cause: a faulty starter motor that, in the worst-case scenario, could trigger a fire—even while the vehicle is in motion.

Grund für die Maßnahme ist ein Verschleißproblem am Starter, das in Verbindung mit einem Kurzschluss im schlimmsten Fall zu einem Brand führen kann.
