After getting the mirror replaced [1] and with all the wind in my sails, I shot another roll with the LM for #FP4Party. The viewing lens focus was tack sharp, whatever broke the mirror also caused misalignment between the taking and viewing lenses ๐ญ. Please share any repair guides/suggestions.
I was pretty excited about some of the shots, pretend they're not blurry, ok?

Attached: 2 images I received the replacement mirror for my Yashica LM this weekend and decided to give all the optics a good cleaning while I had the camera disassembled. The clips that hold the ground glass in place are a pain until they're not and they just snap into place. Glad I was wearing glasses, they sprang up to attack my face, twice! I'm excited to give the camera a spin after getting the film counter working and now with the new mirror and clean optics. #BelieveInFilm #FilmPhotography #RightToRepair
Well it has been a bit of a misadventure between the mirror being cracked making composing difficult, not knowing how much to advance the film due to the non-resetting film counter, and not having a good way to scan, but an adventure nonetheless. Thanks for the motivation to try something new #FP4Party!

This weekend, I'm finally shooting the Yashica LM that I overhauled a couple of months ago. As these old TLRs usually do, it needed a shutter overhaul and basic CLA maintenance, plus new leatherette. But it looks nice and runs beautifully โ not bad for 65+ years old. I'm sure the photos will be excellent as well.
