I caught a bit of an itch to practise some mild tameshigiri to assist with my #iaido. Cardboard rolls, maybe the odd tatami. I really want to spend a minimal amount and for some katana that is close enough to my iaito (so not something wide and heavy specific to tameshigiri).
Looked at a couple Ten Ryu jobs being sold locally at #Teräasekeskus. And then there’s #Yarinohanzo. Any views? Or other cheap suggestions?
@sfb yeah #hemp gis are in general very rare. #Datsusara are famous for their #BJJ hemp gis, which many people rate highly. I approached them and suggested doing an #aikido one, and they responded, but I'm guessing it won't happen any time soon.
#Yarinohanzo has a hemp #ninjutsu gi, but only in black.
My one was by #JenDDesigns, but the cut wasn't quite right (possibly my bad measuring) and, indeed, had a catastrophic failure with my gi trousers during a seminar by #Iwakata-sensei.
