1) Just me and my favorite 6th Dan at #Aikido training today. (6th degree black belt. TBH they are all my favorite for different reasons. Each one has unique magic at that point. This one took falls for my shodan test, tho.)

Today I participated in #aikido training for people aiming to judge kyu gradings. I’m not sure if that’s something I will do, and honestly I kind of knew everything anyway, but it’s a small feather in the hat if I want to go that way or if I ever end up with my own dojo.

Looking forwards to regular training again. Tomorrow some new folks will be coming to our dojo in Rajamäki. So if you fancy giving the art a go, do pop round (we wil be doing super basics) to @Ryushinkan at 18:30.

I have not been posting about #aikido as much as I'd like to lately, but I'm happy to announce the seminar I've been organizing with #GuillaumeErard is now official:

1) Field trip with kiddo’s World History class to see #TheEyesOfGhana. Such a beautiful film, and that all seems like a triple good thing.
2) Got most of the day off for the above.
3) Got to resume #Aikido after an unintentional break.

Ich bin Ende November Teilnehmer auf einem #Aikido Seminar in Korntal, etwas nördlich von #Stuttgart.
Organisiert wird das ganze von Volker Hochwald (6. Dan) und seinem Dojo (https://www.aikido-korntal.de/) und geleitet wird es von unserem Sensei aus Japan.

Jetzt wird angeboten, dass Interessierte zwischendurch auch kostenlos zuschauen können. 🙂

Und zwar am Samstag, 29. November 2025, von 15:00 - 16:15 Uhr in der Teichwiesenhalle, Korntal.
Der Eintritt ist frei.

1) The first morning after daylight savings ends. Don’t get me wrong - I wish we stopped these stupid time shifts. But that extra hour of sleep tie first morning is magic.
2) #Aikido training again! Life keeps throwing curveballs so I keep having to skip, but I will get back to a regular practice.
3) Kiddo’s illustration for her grandfather’s TY card was adorable. Hope he appreciates it, but I am a proud dad anyway.
