#ReIntroductions
Hi! I'm lapis / Jude
25+ #ActuallyAutistic person (they/them )
This is my book, podcast, and TV account. Riverdale tooting is supposed to happen on this account, but it usually can't be contained!

Fave books: The Book of Lies Trilogy (Agota Kristof),
Song of Achilles (Madeline Miller)
Wayward Children Series (Seanan McGuire)

I ran #YAMGBookClub which I hope to reboot someday lol.

Storygraph, #BookWyrm and my blog are linked in my profile!

is the #YAMGbookclub still a thing?

I've read this book before #YAMGBookClub, not that that's a bad thing. It's one of my favorites ever.

I went through pre-order receipts. The sequel is supposed to come out Tuesday. Really happy I've been waiting for the sequel for literal years.

The Insiders

Three kids who don’t belong. A room that shouldn’t exist. A year that will change everything.Perfect for fans of Rebecca Stead and Meg Medina, this debut middle grade novel from award-winning author Mark Oshiro is a hopeful and heartfelt coming-of-age story for anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t fit in.San Francisco and Orangevale may be in the same state, but for Héctor Muñoz, they might as well be a million...

Okay #YAMGBookClub since no one nominated anything this week, energy seems kinda low so I'm just nominating / mandating Aristotle & Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz for October. I normally wouldn't, but it was such a close poll last time that I feel like I'd be doing it a disservice to not have the club read it.

I like that Sophia's parents are trying the best they can in a dystopia.

In that case, it's complying and hiding their daughter's queerness. I'm not saying it's a good thing, but it's a very understandable move.

Can't wait to see what goes wrong at the ball

Okay #YAMGBookClub time for the poll!

Okay #YAMGBookClub Since I don't think we're getting any more entries it's Poll Time!

I think both of these are reasonably available in the United States, I don't know about you, but just in case I'm putting a hold on both of them as soon as I finish the poll!

The poll closes the 25th.

Finished reading The Passing Playbook this weekend. Audiobooks go fast!

I meant to say more about it while I was reading, but I'll just think about it and come back with more thoughts later. Or maybe play it again to remind me and catch more details.

Quick notes: very good, not perfect but lots of good rep things, minimal drama-causing misunderstandings (I hate those)

Also it's partly about soccer so I kinda want to read Tangerine again, but that's a rough book so maybe not.

Reading "The Passing Playbook" for my #YAMGBookClub choice this month. Yay, reading!
