@chris Oh, indeed, it has been quite some changes over the years:
Distros: Suse -> Debian -> Mepis -> Ubuntu
Desktop environments: Fvwm2 -> KDE -> Gnome2 -> Unity -> Gnome3
User software evolved, changed name, was forked, and usually just got better, but I miss some older software:
* #TKDesk (still in repos, still didn't find a good replacement)
* #KBasket (has been revived after long break https://github.com/KDE/basket)
* #Xkill (I now found https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/770/force-quit/)
#XMind (not floss anymore)
