@reed I've tried #trello and I honestly didn't like the UI. I used #notion and it was too much for what I wanted and the app was clunky. I then used #emacs which is awesome but I wanted to be able to easily manage tasks from my phone and I couldn't find a good workflow.
#todoist is what I like using now. It can be as simple or complex as you want it to be. I really like the UI. It has good keyboard shortcuts. I highly recommend it. It has some useful AI features like breaking down a task into sub tasks. I haven't used it because it's not available on the phone app, and I rarely use the desktop app or the website. It also has this killer feature called Ramble where you can just keep talking to it and it'll create tasks. You can also take bulk actions on those tasks in the same ramble and say things like, "label all of them as work" or "set the due date to Saturday for the last task that was added". It's pretty cool.
It has been 150 weeks since I started using #Todoist seriously but more importantly it has been 150 weeks since ended being in an exclusive relationship with #Apple
Almost three years ago, I only used Apple devices but since then, my hybrid ecosystem consists of #android phone and tablet, windows hybrid surface pro device, #linux based home server and I , #iphone and ipad and I still have my M1 #Macbook and M1 Mac mini
It certainly is a little more complicated but a whole less boring too and playing around with other form factors is fun.
Overall, I am pretty good place.

I love how I'm always saying to myself that #Todoist is just ~TOO MUCH~ and I can never settle on a system that works for my #ADHD brain
And yet here I am in Todoist - 26 days (oh, sweet screaming abyss) - away from my final capstone thesis + project submission for my program, with a fully fleshed-out kanban board with what I need accomplished in each of the remaining weeks until submission.

Looks like #Pikapods has a new #Todoist alternative, #Vikunja. Have been wanting a self-hosted task manager for ages, might check it out.
Although I have moved a lot of my stuff off of Pikapods to my own VPS or home server, I still like being able to try things easily via Pikapods without the struggle of initial setup.
