Now that the (re) opening of the *cough* #Wunderline between Groningen and Bremen has been postponed to 2026, this marks another year where it is practically impossible to go to #39c3 using trains.

#db even refuses to sell me a ticket; the rest of the Netherlands no problem, but for the locations I need to be around Christmas and new year, no joy.

oh ffs. Renewed service of the train #Groningen - #Leer / #Bremen is delayed by another half year.

Estimated to be in operation in summer 2026 now. So with some required training for staff it's not unlikely operation will only start in December 2026, a full 11 years after a ship took out the Friesenbrücke.
