Do I have a writing desk?

Yes. It's really a typing table. It's upstairs in my *one day* office, which needs to be cleaned out (with a shovel) so I can move in there and work.

I'm working on a table (that's too high) in the great room, surrounded by two stories of walls covered in great art.

First world problem.

ps. I also have an editing desk, designed to look at multiple copies at once.
