#Writephant A2. Have you ever told a story that incorporated your other expressions of art? How?
Many of my characters historically have cooked, and have a flare for the ethnic. I remember a shaman who was about to be elected prime minister entertaining her closest friends, cooking something a lot like goat birria waiting for the results.
The rewrite of the Balance trilogy (a high fantasy) features a fine art photographer. The story starts out with her photographing a child birthday party with a Leica M camera. Her daughter, who's the Macguffin in this story but an MC elsewhere is introverted, and we see her drawing on a sidewalk a photorealistic drawing of a door at the bottom of stairs. It looks vaguely dungeon like. (She disappears down it, we presume later.) The camera plays a role in the fantasy world...
BTW: I draw in pastels, chalk, and charcoal, but am not good at it.
