I wonder how many years I'll keep draining the outside pipes before I decide it's worth having someone redo them in deep cast iron so I don't have to?

This is me draining the water tank.
I had to run the tap for 55 minutes out the swan doors to drain all the drinking water out of the tank. It got to a point where I was thinking, "I KNOW it's not getting refilled on the fly, but IS IT?!"
No water in the tank or plumbing means things won't burst when it freezes.

My beloved lavender is old and thin, I could fit the pots of Mitsuba and blue Salvia also tucked inside. I’m getting good at wrapping this half diamond shaped frame. 😁👌
