This project restores the update functionality for Windows 95 through Windows XP, including Automatic Updates. Our goal is to bring back the convenience of the original Windows Update and Microsoft Update websites, letting users relive the classic experience.

Partying like it's 1993 in my office this afternoon (wait for it...)

I set up a #RaspberryPi with just enough software to run #DosboxX, then I installed #Win311 on it. I'm going to try upgrading it to #Win95, #Win98 and most excitingly of all, #WinME.

Meinen ersten eigenen PC hab ich mir vom Konfirmationsgeld gekauft (dafür war die Kirche noch gut 🤭), von Aldi mit #WinME. Davor gabs einen Familien-PC im Elternschlafzimmer mit #Win95. Und davor einen Schneider-PC mit Win 3.1 und 5,25" Diskettenlaufwerk. Und Nadeldrucker 😅

Die Zeit rennt...

Mir war gar nicht bewußt, wie lange ich schon #Linux auf Desktops und Laptops nutze.

Es hat sich auch viel getan. Heutzutage ist ein Linuxsystem, dass auf .deb basiert, super easy zu installieren.
Kann mich noch an lange Nächte mit #Win98 erinnern...

Wobei ich Win98 SE damals cool fand, aber #WinME hat mich zu #SuSE gebracht und ich bin seitdem privat nur noch mit #Linux mit #KDE bzw #Plasma auf Rechnern unterwegs.

Ich mag Klickibunti ala #KDENeon 🖖🏾 😎
