At #Wenderholm #RegionalPark for a chilled #picnic and (hopefully) a snooze in the shade later.

About to set off on our first #kayak outing for quite a while. Launch at #Wenderholm, paddle 7.5 km up to #Puhoi, lunch at the pub, then back downstream.

The sun attempted to show its face this morning. The rain said, "No". Two images of the Puhoi Estuary 9 minutes apart. In the first, there is a patch of reddening sky as the sun is rising. In the 2nd, the sky is completely grey as the drizzly rain has arrived. #PuhoiRiver #Wenderholm #NewZealand

This is our #kayak parked with other vehicles at the #Puhoi pub. We paddled from #Wenderholm to the pub on the Puhoi River with an incoming tide. Had lunch and paddled back on the outgoing tide. 15km round trip. The trolley is a #SeaTug which I remove and strap on the back, upside down, for paddling.
