Continuing on the Damp Bird theme. A Welcome Swallow in the rain, and two Buff-banded Rails (of the four observed) also wandering about in the rain.
It should be noted, the photographer was also damp, 'cause holding an umbrella and wielding a 600mm lens are incompatible things to do at once.

One of two Welcome Swallows I encountered on the new bridge on the main lake at UQ, two resting Bush Stone-curlews in the Women's College carpark, and a mossy turtle with duck escorts.

Saw a cute little birdy last night after dinner, singing away above the entrance to a nearby shop.
Seems to really be a "Welcome Swallow" this time, and not one of the chaffinches I'd always confuse them with.
And yet more birds.
