Reimagining performing arts through AI and virtual reality

Coordinated by the Athena Research Centre in Greece, PREMIERE brought together artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) researchers, performers, venues, scholars and festivals, to demonstrate how closer collaboration between science and the arts can unlock new creative and societal value. “As a research institute, we wanted to push the boundaries and see how state-of-the-art technology can really be used in performing arts,” says Vassilis Katsouros, the project coordinator.
