Snow Geese
And we have liftoff!
It's fascinating to watch these Snow Geese as they take off in large groups, fly around the lake, and land again. It's like they just need to find a different spot on the lake.
Good news is I was able to go back to our favorite Snow Goose migration spot, bad news is the weather was crap. Cloudy, gray and damp. So, no great pictures, but I'll post a couple anyway.

The weekend I was there, staff estimated 65,000 Snow Geese, 2200 Canada Geese and 1000 Tundra Swan.
