One pair of #moorhens in the local park has been building a much larger and more elaborate nest than all the others every year, always in the same place. This year they have really outdone themselves, building a veritable little castle. Here you can see proud Mum brooding on her second batch of eggs for the season.

We share the Grand Union canal with all kinds of birds.
