I tried to find a time when they are not active. The photo is a wasp nest entry near my door at 9:30pm.

My first attempt at puffing powder was not robust and now instead of 4 wasps, there's this crowd. Well all the better to bring the powder into the nest. I gave them a very "healthy" covering of powder and ran. Now I can hear them hitting the living room window in rage.
