@AwetTesfaiesus who is behind wsocial anyway? I think thats the same AT Proto backed Stuff like Eurosky only with the need to upload your ID.
Using AT Proto which could be influenced throught the Cryptobros financing Bluesky is a bad idea in my opinion.
The only selling point Eurosky and Bluesky have is more "security" by survaillance. I dont know if we all want this.

neue Social Plattform aus Europa W Social

Am 9. Mai startet die neue Kommunikationsplattform W Social. Als Alternative zu X soll sie die Kommunikation in Europa unabhängiger von US-Konzernen machen. Gründerin Anna Zeiter betont zudem: Ki-gesteuerte Bots werden nicht eingesetzt.

And skimming through their discussion from Davos on Youtube, https://www.youtube.com/live/JV4z2H7yFIE?si=Qx0IPSDWGmVP0J6i&t=13636 (link now with starting time) , it seems like W Social:

- Won't ban accounts.
- Only «real» names. I guess based in bank id etc.
- Bots are not OK?
- Filtering and moderation using AI.
- They have their primary domain (wsocial.eu) at a Finnish company. (But fonts, tracking, css etc seems to be at whatever)

The people behind https://wsocial.eu etc seems to have a session now at January 21st at 12 CET https://www.wedonthavetime.org/events/davos2026#20260121-davos-information-integrity and it seems very much that W Social and We Don't Have Time AB is more or less the same.

I guessing W Social will be based on We Don't Have Time horrible slow plattform. Based on infrastructure from Cloudflare, Google etc.
