Rare baby mountain gorilla twins in the Congo jungle.

A critically endangered mountain gorilla has given birth to twins in the Virunga National Park, in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, two months after the birth and discovery of another pair of identical gorilla siblings. According to scientists, less than one percent of mountain gorilla pregnancies result in the birth of genetically identical pairs. The images show the growth of the specimens, born in January 2026, amidst nature.
