I constantly hear that the Arch Wiki is impressively comprehensive while user friendly.

But yesterday, I experienced it first hand - in a weird little corner - trying to run Arch on my PinePhone.

The documentation for most OSes for PinePhone are sparse, since really only contributing developers are expected to even have their hands on this phone, today.

But the Arch Linux wiki article was robust and guideded me past several possible pitfalls to a successful install.

The hype is real!

So, I just saw the cinematic release of #TADC, and I:

  • am very glad I got to see it
  • hope #gooseworx will give us many more things in years to come
  • found most of the “facts of the matter” matched up with my transhumanist-/programmer-mind expectations (though some things are left less resolved than I’d’ve liked), BUT:
  • the tone is very different from what I thought it’d be. That’s not a bad thing, in fact, #kudos to gooseworx for making this tone work well and surprising me with it. I guess we have different outlooks on life and I can very much respect that =^_^=

Good news everyone... well, every FPGA nerd: #AMD though it over and added #Linux support back in the basic (aka free of charge) license tier of #Vivado.

It's really good to see when companies roll back stupid ideas. #Kudos!
