But #flood water flowing over the crowned country road, covering the asphalt, moving slowly leftward, through the roadside weeds, then barbwire fence.
"uh?", I say.
"Go on thru, Murp! Stay inna center."
Front wheel drive pulled us on. But back lifted, bumped, went left with current, floating like boat.
Moral of story: Don't listen to dad.

I figured out why stinky’s horn doesn’t work. It hasn’t got one! The two dangling wires in front of the oil filter clearly are what would go to a horn if it did have one. Well, today I got around to making a bracket for this silly hella multi horn thing. It was a bit of a faff. I have yet to wire it in or hook up the air tubes. The Volkswagen Rabbit, known as the Golf worldwide, was introduced in the United States in 1974 as a compact, front-wheel-drive car. The Rabbit was Volkswagen’s response to the growing popularity of small, fuel-efficient Japanese cars like the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla. Rabbit’s spunky nature and great handling, and photos of it lifting an inside rear wheel during aggressive cornering made the Rabbit a VW icon. I had the door apart to swap the regular flag mirror for this fancy pants remote mirror. I’m really living in the lap of luxury now! While apart I cleaned and greased my first window regulator track that turned out to be most easy. The only thing is you really do need those plastic trim tools in order to take off the door panel without mangling it, glad I finally got some. #weirdcarmastodon #weirdcars #vw #vwrabbit #vwpickup #vwcaddy
