Bit of a niche toot I suspect, but my #VU+ #Uno4k Satellite tuner suffered a failed software update of #OpenViX yesterday, first time in the near 5 years I have had the box. I put off trying to fix as didn’t want to get stuck for hours trying to resolve and then maybe reinstall/rebuild. I needn’t have worried as it took maybe 5 mins to prep a USB stick with the latest image, reboot the box, flash, and restore the backup it luckily had managed to make! Phew!
Of course with streaming these days it’s not much of an inconvenience but I still like to record programmes as still easier to navigate the DVR sometimes!
