A beautiful 52km unofficial, unsupported urban ultra. Stunning day, beautiful weather. Ottawa is very pretty in the spring. A mix of multi use pathways, trails, and sidewalks. I saw a house martin, and other swallows galore, cormorants, turkey vultures, ducklings, and goslings (who I gave a wide berth to)! Stunning day to be outside. I had planned on a longer run but my period and all its fun kicked off 41km in and after another ten km or so, I had enough. I did love this training plan though! I have a few side quests in mind for the immediate future but I think I will go back to this plan later in the summer.

Also, it's World Mask Week! My kn95 that I carry for popping into stores or portapotties on my run colour coordinates with my running vest! PPE but make it sporty!

Celebrated the solstice with an unofficial urban ultra. 52km on multi-use pathways and urban trails. Super fancy aid stations (convenience stores and coffee shops) with a variety of nutrition options! Met a coyote as my watch was syncing this morning. Saw a turtle laying eggs. Four ravens. So many gold finches! Ran on a new trail and excited to go back. Good day!
