I'm doing my part!

Housemate gave me two Kindle Paperwhites that were destined for recycling. Managed to get the first one opened up using Winterbreak2, KUAL/MRPI, and KOReader (thanks to the excellent documentation at https://kindlemodding.org).

This one has a minor little defect on the screen, but other than that it's in decent shape! Not sure what to do with it now, I assume there's a demand for unlocked Kindles?

Anyone want an unlocked Kindle?

Made this for my sister. So I have a huge collection of stamps as I brought a big box for £10. The collection had an insane amount of the same stamps so I am trying to use them in arty projects.

I originally had the idea to make here a fish related one but ended up making a flower stamp collage.

Was gonna just cover the entire thing but made it birthday related.

Somehow all the stamps are from Malaysia or Singapore and are mostly orchids.

Oggi ho dovuto fare un giro per una roba rognosa di lavoro, ma sono tornata a casa con le pive nel sacco e i piedi fradici.

In compenso, ho lasciato questo in un supermercato del centro, nella corsia dei vini.

Rapidissimo ma carino, piccolo recupero di materiale.

Another day, another bit of e-waste rescued!

A housemate was going to recycle this Samsung Galaxy Tab A, so I snagged it instead. It's now running /e/OS (only Android 13, but it's better than the official ROM running 8.1). Screen protector is a little beat up, but the screen itself seems to be in good shape and the battery is holding a charge.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but at least it's not in a landfill somewhere!

Tentative de répartition d'un Nokia E5 qui a probablement pris l'eau, plein de sable et de crasse. Le clavier marche à moitié (les touches du centre semblent marcher plutôt bien, celles des bords pas du tout). Après l'avoir ouvert, je trouve un film plastique avec en dessous des pièces métalliques rondes. J'ose pas trop décoller pour nettoyer, ne sachant pas comment recoller... Vous avez déjà vu des restaurations de ce genre de clavier ?
