I originally developed USBridge-KVM 2.0 as a barebones administration tool. Its main advantage was converting BIOS and pre-OS video into real-time interactive text streamed directly to an SSH terminal.

But why stop at text mode when the hardware is capable of so much more?

Here's how it handles the exact opposite—streaming ultra-low-latency games via Moonlight! 🎮

Smooth 1080p @ 30 FPS, 720p @ 60 FPS, crisp on-chip hardware encoding, and a complete absence of annoying input lag while playing Silksong. From a text-only BIOS terminal to a dynamic gaming platform.

What do you think of this evolution? 😉

I'm no master machinist, but I cut and filed these aluminum heatsinks anyway!

Spent the day working on active thermal design, adapting stock profiles to perfectly fit the case and fan layout. The test units for tech bloggers and reviewers are almost done—can't wait for the first independent reviews of USBridge!

I integrated the Claude agent with my server via USBridge-KVM and the MCP protocol. No OS is required—the AI analyzes the terminal output using OCR and controls the BIOS independently.

✅ Standalone hardware testing
✅ CMOS battery discharge diagnostics
✅ Full keyboard/mouse control via HID emulation
✅ Mounting virtual media (ISO) for remote OS installation

As an engineer, it’s a pleasure to see the AI “getting its hands dirty” in the BIOS.

It’s time to fix some hardware issues.

I’ll admit, I underestimated the heat dissipation a bit: when processing video streams intensively, my KVM starts to overheat. The passive cooling I was counting on just isn’t enough for such loads inside a closed case.

The solution is already on its way—I ordered active coolers that are only 4 mm tall. As soon as they arrive, I’ll install them and test how well they save the day. Small, but hopefully powerful.

Stay tuned—I’ll show you how this turns out soon.
