Looking for a sponsoring LIR for my ASN.
I run a small non‑commercial network with a WireGuard uplink via Route64 and plan a second upstream (HE POP) for redundancy and BGP/IPv6 learning.
I can maintain IRR/RPKI. Any LIR willing to sponsor an ASN is welcome.

Vodafone will stop #peering in Europe. Apparently it will remove itself from all IXPs, halt private peering and move all that traffic to Inter.Link, a german firm. I can't really understand why it does. A write-up at www.linkedin.com/feed/update/... #netneutrality #fairshare #DeNOG #UKNOF #IXP

Vodafone selects Inter.link to enhance interconnection with other Internet service providers | Rudolf van der Berg

Is Vodafone brilliant? Or is it daft? What do you think? Apparently Vodafone will stop all public and private #peering in Europe. The press release of Vodafone and the news articles in Germany aren't fully clear on how this will work. German news site Heise (see comment for link) says Vodafone will even stop direct peering with Youtube! It reads as if Vodafone is going for a single-homed transit for all its existing peering behind Inter.link. Now, it appears Vodafone expects other networks to become Inter.link customers if they want to send traffic to Vodafone. Maybe I'm not fully clued in on what Vodafone wants to do and maybe the press releases aren't clear enough, but it sounds like Vodafone wants to force all other networks to become inter.link customers and pay Vodafone for private peering. This is like Deutsche Telekom messing with its Dutch peering a few years back and routing everything through Frankfurt without an announcement. This broke the Internet for their Dutch customers (link in the comments). This feels to me like a similar move. It appears to be at least as heavy handed as interconnection to Deutsche Telekom or Swisscom. However, I assume smarter people than me have thought this through, so what am I missing? Vodafone says: "By utilising the Inter.link system, called FlexPeer, instead of traditional physical internet exchanges, third-party providers can efficiently scale capacity into Vodafone’s fixed and mobile access networks as needed to serve their customers across Europe." and "Vodafone aims to migrate all traffic in Germany from existing Internet Exchange Points to the new system by the end of 2025." #fairshare #interconnection #transit #RIPE

20 years ago, on 25th May 2005, we held the first #UKNOF meeting at SOCTIM in London. UKNOF is now succeeded by #NetUK, but we had a great run of 58 meetings over two decades. We've been working to ensure that UKNOF's content is preserved at https://indico.uknof.org.uk, https://index.uknof.org.uk, and on YouTube #uknofconf.

Thank You everyone for a great ride, much clue distributed to the UK Network Operator community.

UK Network Operators' Forum (Indico)

Oof, reading today that #NYNOG has decided to end operations [1] and then I find out that our friends at #UKNOF have been struggling last year as well and are winding down [2].

It comes as somewhat of a surprise, seeing how seemingly lots of other NOGs and conferences were very active last year, meeting up as if we were back to normal. I thought it was maybe only me that couldn't pretend it's all fine again and get back into it.

There is a poll on LinkedIn about the name for the successor to UKNOF.
I really would have preferred if this had been done on some open platform that didn't require sign in, but walled gardens seem to be the way everything is going now.
Anyway, if you have strong opinions on naming:

Together with my UKIF colleagues, I've been involved in running #UKNOF for nearly two decades now. It's time for something fresh to fill this essential niche in the UK's Internet ecosystem. Here's https://medium.com/@dualkei/time-to-pass-on-the-uknof-torch-a07e3c4269e2 some of my reflections on it all.
