@lazzarone #tutanota è Società commerciale indipendente (for-profit), senza investitori esterni, focalizzata sulla privacy. Però ha dimensioni nettamente inferiori a #proton. Io ho provato di tutto e #tutanota mi stava un po' stretta sia come mail che agenda (funzioni troppo base) e cloud. Ma sia proton che tutanota sono utili a chi ha l'esigenza di rendere i propri dati non leggibili senza la password (che poi è opinabile questa sicurezza pubblicizzata).

@protonprivacy - #TutaNota has Drive for #Linux now. At this point, you're just ticking off your "nerdy" users. WE NEED A USABLE DRIVE. I have to use MegaNZ half the time to fill in where Proton can't compete. Contacts, Drive.

I enjoy and pay for #Proton. Please complete the road map promises from years ago before forging ahead. (C'mon some of us prepaid 2 years at a time.)

Family lost access to both #Tutanota and #ProtonMail , due to forgot to log in to Tutanota free account within 6 months, and set it as Proton Mail's recovery Email. And most likely without other recovery methods on Proton. Now Proton requires a recovery code which was sent to the deleted Tutanota every time they tried to log in. An email has been sent to Proton Customer Service, but my furious family might just go back to big tech services.

Maybe a lost case, but what more be done?

- Unhelpful support
- Bugs - everywhere
- Spam from the Tuta team from which you can’t unsubscribe. WTF is that?
- Search is unreliable

I had a free account for local activism purposes, bc living under fascism makes it nice to have something not tied to your phone #.

After no particular activity on my part and having logged in Tues, today my password and the recovery key don't work. It's a common issue on reddit, Tuta just periodically locks random free accounts and their process to unlock is for you to email them from another email. If I wanted another email tied to this, I'd just use that one.
