So to replace Google Workspace/Gmail, I'm looking at:

Fastmail (Australia)
Mailbox (Germany)
Proton Mail (Switzerland)

I hear Fastmail has to allow backdoors because of Australian law. I wonder if Mailbox or Proton are better?

I was using Proton, but I had concerns about some political statements the owner had made, but digging into it, I decided it was a bit blown out of proportion.

But then they dug into AI and introduced their Lumo product, and I was out.

Currently, I'm using Tutanota and I appreciate that their values seem more in line with my own.

@cynical13 ok, seems like all these services have issues.

1. Fastmail - Bad for privacy, backdoored because of Australian law?

2. Proton - AI

3. Mailbox - ?

4. Tutanota - Ok?

@990000

I honestly don't know if there's any perfect solution, just the one I can live with until I find out otherwise.

4. Tutanota - hostile marketing

They like stirring rumors and negativity around other service providers. Not very business like behavior which raises questions about their own ethics and values.
