The banking firm that owns Southern Water has recorded a £4bn profit.

During the first eight days of November 2022, Southern Water released raw sewage for more than 3,700 hours at 83 bathing water beaches.

Protesters wearing poop costumes gathered opposite Portswood Waste Centre to call on Southern Water to stop discharging sewage in the river.

"Three Cornwall beaches polluted after sewage overflow."

In 2021 local water company @SouthWestWater paid a "special dividend", of £1,500,000,000 to shareholders.

Company CEO Susan Davy was also paid £1,700,000 in salary and bonuses.

It follows a large spill in St Agnes last week
