This is a photo of our chestnut tree this fall. It shed unknown quantities of chestnuts, of which we redeemed about 15 pounds (about 7 kg). My daughter raked up all the leaves and burs so that Monty wouldn't hurt his dainty paws.

I believe the #AnnArbor Forestry Dept. still lets you request a new street tree from their list of approved species (thanks Dean fund!). My ~1990 pick of a Red Oak is now 75" DBH and having a Mast Year™, and so the current chipmunk & squirrel situation out front is HILARIOUS
