Darker KnightFrom Easter Car Park to Ecocides Legacy
A car park nearby my home has a very different occupancy level this Easter weekend, it is nearly full. Over more Easter weekends than I choose to remember it has been mostly empty, especially on sunnier ones.
I'm guessing its because of Donny & Bibi's war that force-spiked fuel prices and the availabily of fuel supplies became strained. It was different in 2020 when everyone around here who had somewhere better to be imprisoned in their own juices, got in those cars and drove away, leaving an empty car park.
But now is different.
Liquid car fuels aside, I think its important we also remember that this nearly most contrived of wars, won't save our world!
Once the shooting & territory thefts cease, both we human animals and our most preciously held economies are still f'''ked from the cumulative effects already coming from our once peaceful pursuits. Those made the nature that we all were built and nourished by into a mere commodity. Something that we thought iot 'normal' to own and trade then scrap into wastelands according to our human economic doctrines & priorities.
If we think fascism's methodological stalking return as a slow approach of a potential mass killer ideology (see 1939-45), then just stop to reconsider how slowly this pan bread baskets famine causing mass killer will become.
Ecocide is a war on nature that isn't conquerable by any military alliance, it cannot 'do a big, big deal' either. It just asserts non negotiable re-balancing through natural, unstoppable forces over all disruptive entities that changed its natural order & natural balances.
Nothing in existence is permanent, and this modern human race that baked into its dominant culture its delusions of supremacy using some clever tricks, will fail faster and more grievously than had it prioritised wisdom instead of hubris, as demonstrated by the first people's races that it chose to destroy the cultures & bodies of.
Then it sat back to enjoy its films, songs & books about love, ironic!
But can our yearnings for the fullness of love of life in all of its fullness be discovered and sought? ie our cultural love products so far have been little better than junk food, overly flavoured, under nourishing, and so temporary.
As many commentators conclude we need full truth and full justice for all living beings and natural processes to get nearer to that, Getting out of from only within our heads is a first step, but then how do we make the processes of physical existing in so many urbanised places with solid dry walls?
