As I watch a vacant lot two houses down from us get clear cut it fills me with such sadness.

Here in Florida we are in a drought. There's a burn ban at the moment. I had the random thought but think it would be really smart policy:

Burn Ban should be extended to place a hold on ALL clear cutting, paving, and tree removal. As long as we're in a drought and heat wave there is no justification for exacerbating the situation.

Because we squander unimaginably large amounts of #data and #energy just to report on them - this can surely be done more efficiently; i.e, by pointing to the so-called #environmentalist parties that spend all day making #money by posting self-promotion -

Environmentalists have not been able to effect their agenda enough in western democracies.

Environmentalists should continue putting pressure on their governments.

But maybe they should put time and energy in a new democracy:
