Sometimes when we are botanising we can forget to look up! Which would be a shame as #treeflowers are both fascinating & beautiful! This week’s challenge is to go looking for wild & naturalised trees that are blooming. Share your finds for #WildflowerHour this Sunday 8-9pm!
Coming soon to my neighborhood: pine pollen to paint everything yellow! The stormy weather the other day knocked this bud off the tree, or maybe it was dropped by a squirrel.
This red-osier dogwood (𝘊𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘶𝘴 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘢) looked like it was offering us a bouquet:
When we had an addition added to the house, we left a young Red Maple tree. A little close to where the construction was going to happen, but we crossed our fingers. But the workers were *so* careful of "the little tree" and now it's thriving in the south sun and sheltered from the winter north winds.
