"Three trains have crashed in India’s eastern #Odisha state, killing at least 288 people in the country’s worst rail disaster in 20 years.

Phosgene gas, which was released in East Palestine as a result of burning train cars carrying hazardous substances, killed 85,000 soldiers/ people in World War I, when it was deliberately used as a weapon of war.

Carbon tetrachloride (CCl₄) can turn into phosgene, when exposed to heat.

So it may have been a questionable idea to conduct a "controlled burn" of railcars, carrying such substances.
