@shom As you've already gathered - there is no clear consensus. The next "big thing" is to tame the topological naming problem (https://wiki.freecadweb.org/Topological_naming_problem). There is a separate development branch just to work on this / test the proposed solutions (https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/tree/development/toponaming and for more details: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/FreeCAD_1.0_Development_Cycle). I guess that the topic Assembly is one of the things that are going to come next. It's always an up to date discussion running. 1/2
