I expected to feel so awful after the dental work. During the surgery, I seriously felt like a road that a construction crew was going at with drills and jackhammers. Bone conduction makes it all so intense. The snapping of roots and the vibrations on my jawbone were cataclysmically loud. I was arched like a banana in the dental chair the whole time, even though the freezing made it painless. But the tugging, wrenching, snapping, and squeal of drills on bone? Holy shit. But the discomfort of the extraction and stitches is nowhere near as bad as what I’ve felt daily for so many years. With that tooth removed, my mouth feels a lightness and an absence of pain that my mind can’t comprehend. I don’t remember ever not hurting there. I can’t get over the improvement. Now, I just hope it heals up perfectly with no infection or dry socket. Here’s all that’s left: a gold crown with screws and bits of filling. There was no tooth left:only root.
