After *that much* sleep, I started off into a quick run. Alas, in the woods there were some trails barred because of woodworkers. That’s important work, and I don’t mind them doing that, but it always comes out of the blue. So I had to change some corners of my route and lost a bit of speed there. Good (late) morning! Today is a kind of Apple Fitness+ day for me: Starting out on my #schwinn bike for a 20 minute ride and finishing off with a #TimeToRun run (which I extended from the mere ~30 minutes to my usual realm of #Running activities…). A new #TimeToRun workout appeared on my #applewatchultra2 this morning, so after the warm up, I started it and used it for the first 30 minutes of my morning run. Coach Emily usually is one of the coaches who easily manage to push me on to achieve more than I had planned. And somit was today. After these 30 minutes, I switched back to my Fauci-audiobook ON CALL (still great) for the remainder of the two hour run. Have a great start into the new week, y‘all! #applefitnessplus
Short night, only a little over four hours of sleep, but a long day ahead of me. When I got up, there was simply no tension in my body, but I found a new TIME TO RUN workout on my #applewatchultra2 (with coach Josh), that was a good way to get motivated and up to speed. Two days ago, I could hardly look straight ahead while running. Today, I ran my 24 kms round really swiftly in under two hours. That’s what a good night’s sleep can do to my form. Yuck! This run was one of the wettest runs ever for me, topped only by that one in Heidelberg last July… Nevertheless I reveled in running on my own through a landscape that‘s exploding with life with that rain. Running speed was good, audiobook very good, only downside to this run: Getting out of the drenched clothes afterwards. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Apart from that, a good run to start into the holidays.
