#np #OSI - Fire Make Thunder

I couldn't decide what I wanted to listen to yesterday, so I scrolled down a bunch in Kore and landed on OSI.
They made some cool music, shame they're no longer active it seems. I'd describe their music as #ProgMetal, a bit #Tool'ish, and a bit #PorcupineTree'ish, as in #FOABP-era.
According to their Wikipedia entry they had #StevenWilson and #MikaelAkerfeldt as guests, and I'm convinced I heard #TimBowness singing on a track, too...

After reading so much about this (supposed) overblown folly of a triple album, which was released to poor sales and a critical mauling in 1977; and also hearing #stevenwilson and #timbowness discuss it on their ‘Album Years’ podcast, I went straight in for the 5 disc CD box set without having heard a note or word of it. It’s barking mad, but never uninteresting - I love it 😊
