Tigray deserves the £100m of much needed humanitarian aid UK is providing.

But Gaza deserves ongoing support too.

And if £100m can be found down the Treasury sofa for Tigray, why can’t it be found for malnourished kids in UK?

These are political choices, not moral ones. While the moral compass wildly swings, kids starve.

Selective humanity is almost worse than no humanity at all.

Why are people in Tigray starving 15 months after the signing of an agreement that was supposed to relieve them from suffering? If international assistance doesn’t come now, we could be seeing a repeat of the infamous Ethiopian famine of the 1980s.
