In December, 12 months after my last surgery on my shoulder, I am to have another operation on it. This will reverse the shoulder joint, so that the ball is on top of the socket and will give me more movement and alleviate pain.

I wasn't aware that this was even possible until today; wouldn't be for a person like me if I lived in the USA.

I thank God that we still have the NHS.
One moment of rushing on the stairs and my life changed, but my income didn't matter - the NHS was there!
