Always happy to revisit one of my favorite films and directors, especially when sharing it with someone who has never seen it. The Maestro in his prime, with a solid cast featuring many regulars, great gore effects and a wonderful score by Fabio Frizzi. You can never go wrong with prime Fulci. Viva La Fulci!!!
Lucio Fulci and writer Dardano Sacchetti got inspired by H.P. Lovecraft and made 1980's City of the Living Dead. It's also the first of Fulci's The Gates of Hell trilogy. However, this one is so Italian it ends on a massive question mark. Still... It's pretty effective.
